Job Summary
We are looking for a qualified BARC RT Radiographer to perform industrial radiographic testing on welds, pipelines, pressure vessels, structural components, and other critical assets while ensuring compliance with radiation safety regulations, customer specifications, and applicable codes. Typical responsibilities include setting up radiography jobs, handling Gamma/X-ray equipment, processing and evaluating radiographs, and maintaining radiation safety practices. (Indeed)
Key Responsibilities
- Perform Industrial Radiographic Testing (RT) using Gamma Ray/X-ray equipment.
- Carry out exposure calculations and select appropriate radiographic techniques.
- Inspect welds, pipelines, pressure vessels, tanks, structural steel, and fabricated components.
- Process and evaluate radiographic films/images as per applicable codes and project requirements.
- Ensure strict compliance with AERB radiation safety regulations and company HSE procedures.
- Maintain radiography equipment, radiation survey meters, and exposure records.
- Prepare inspection reports and maintain project documentation.
- Coordinate with clients, QA/QC engineers, and project teams during inspections.
Eligibility
- Valid BARC Radiography Testing (RT) Certification.
- Knowledge of industrial radiography techniques and radiation safety practices. BARC RT training emphasizes practical radiography, radiation safety, equipment handling, defect interpretation, and emergency preparedness. (Bhabha Atomic Research Centre)
- Experience in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Power, Refinery, or Infrastructure projects is preferred.
- Additional NDT certifications (UT, MT, PT, VT) will be an added advantage.
