Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced and strategic Chief Operating Officer (COO) with a minimum of 15 years of relevant experience in the construction, civil, interiors, architectural, real estate, or related project-based industry.
The ideal candidate should have strong experience in operations management, project execution, team leadership, resource planning, cost control, client management, and business operations. Candidates currently working as Operations Managers, Senior Project Managers, Project Heads, Project Directors, or Senior Project Engineers in Civil/Construction/Interiors are encouraged to apply.
The COO will be responsible for overseeing the organization's day-to-day operations, ensuring projects are executed efficiently, improving operational systems, and driving overall business performance.
Key Responsibilities1. Operations Management
- Oversee and manage the overall day-to-day operations of the organization.
- Develop and implement operational systems, processes, and SOPs.
- Ensure smooth coordination between project, engineering, sales, estimation, procurement, finance, HR, and other departments.
- Monitor operational efficiency, productivity, quality, and timelines.
- Identify operational gaps and implement corrective measures.
2. Project Management & Execution
- Oversee multiple construction, civil, interior, and related projects.
- Ensure projects are delivered within the agreed timeline, budget, quality, and scope.
- Monitor project progress, resource allocation, manpower, materials, and site activities.
- Review project schedules, milestones, delays, and execution challenges.
- Provide strategic support to project teams in resolving critical issues.
- Ensure proper coordination between site teams, project engineers, vendors, contractors, clients, and management.
3. Team Leadership & Management
- Lead and manage project and operations teams across locations.
- Define responsibilities, performance expectations, and accountability for operational teams.
- Conduct regular operational and project performance reviews.
- Mentor Project Managers, Senior Engineers, Site Engineers, and other operational staff.
- Build a strong culture of ownership, accountability, discipline, and performance.
4. Resource & Cost Management
- Plan and optimize manpower, materials, equipment, vendors, and other operational resources.
- Monitor project costs and operational expenses.
- Work closely with Finance and Accounts to ensure effective cost control.
- Identify cost-saving and productivity-improvement opportunities.
- Ensure efficient utilization of organizational resources.
5. Process & System Development
- Establish standardized processes and SOPs across project and operational functions.
- Improve existing workflows to increase efficiency and reduce delays.
- Implement systems for project tracking, reporting, documentation, and performance monitoring.
- Establish appropriate operational KPIs and performance standards.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, processes, quality standards, and safety requirements.
6. Client & Stakeholder Management
- Handle key clients and critical project-level escalations.
- Participate in important client meetings and commercial discussions when required.
- Maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, consultants, architects, vendors, and other stakeholders.
- Ensure timely resolution of project-related issues and customer concerns.
7. Business & Management Support
- Work closely with the CEO/Managing Director in developing and executing business strategies.
- Provide management with regular reports on operational performance, project status, risks, costs, and business requirements.
- Support business expansion, new project opportunities, and operational scalability.
- Participate in strategic decision-making and organizational planning.
- Identify potential operational and business risks and develop mitigation plans.
8. Quality, Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure projects comply with required quality standards, specifications, contractual requirements, and applicable regulations.
- Monitor operational risks and implement preventive measures.
- Ensure proper documentation and reporting across projects.
- Promote a strong culture of quality, safety, compliance, and professional standards.

Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, Interior Design, Business Administration, or a related field.
- MBA / PG qualification in Operations, Business Management, Construction Management, or related areas will be an added advantage.

Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹75,000.00 per month
