A Housekeeping Room Attendant is responsible for maintaining cleanliness, hygiene, and overall appearance of guest rooms and assigned areas to ensure a comfortable and pleasant stay for guests.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clean and service assigned guest rooms according to standards
- Make beds, change linens, and replace towels
- Dust, vacuum, mop floors, and sanitize surfaces
- Replenish room supplies such as toiletries, drinking water, and amenities
- Clean bathrooms, mirrors, fixtures, and fittings thoroughly
- Report any maintenance issues, damages, or missing items
- Ensure proper use and care of cleaning equipment and chemicals
- Follow health, safety, and hygiene standards
- Respond politely to guest requests and inquiries
- Maintain confidentiality and respect guest privacy
Skills & Requirements:
- Basic knowledge of cleaning techniques and equipment
- Attention to detail and cleanliness
- Physical stamina (standing, bending, lifting)
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team
- Time management skills
- Basic understanding of safety and hygiene practices
Qualifications:
- Minimum: High school or equivalent (preferred)
- Prior housekeeping or hotel experience is an advantage
Working Conditions:
- Shift-based work (including weekends and holidays)
- Physically demanding role
Salary Range (India):
- ₹14,000 – ₹18,000 per month (depending on experience and hotel category)
Pay: ₹16,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
