We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Accounts Receivable (AR) Analyst to join the Finance team at Shop LC. This role is responsible for managing customer receivables, performing financial reconciliations, analyzing customer transaction exceptions, and ensuring the accuracy of accounting records. The ideal candidate will support month-end financial activities, maintain compliance with accounting standards, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance operational efficiency.
- Monitor customer accounts and outstanding receivables.
- Perform customer account reconciliations and maintain accurate accounting records.
- Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies, chargebacks, refunds, and payment exceptions.
- Prepare and analyze reports related to customer transactions, including chargebacks and refunds without returns.
- Reconcile merchant and bank transactions with receipts and refunds recorded in the ERP system.
- Perform Sales Tax reconciliation and ensure the accuracy of tax-related transactions.
- Prepare Accounts Receivable aging and reconciliation reports.
- Monitor customer credit limits and recommend credit holds where appropriate.
- Coordinate with Finance, Sales, Customer Service, Payment Operations, and Banking partners to resolve account discrepancies.
- Assist with month-end and year-end close activities, including account reconciliations and reporting.
- Maintain audit-ready documentation and ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance reconciliation accuracy and operational efficiency.
- Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 2–5 years of experience in Accounts Receivable, Financial Reconciliations, or Finance Operations.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and Accounts Receivable processes.
- Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or NetSuite.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, formulas, and reporting).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Experience in a shared services or global finance environment.
- Knowledge of Sales Tax/GST/VAT compliance and reconciliation.
- Experience with merchant reconciliations, payment gateways, chargeback management, and refund processing.
- Exposure to Power BI, Power Query, Power Automate, or similar automation tools.
- CA Inter, CMA, CPA, or ACCA certification (preferred but not mandatory).
