UzuHealth is a digital healthcare platform that helps patients book doctor consultations, lab tests, doctor home visits, and other healthcare services through a guided and simplified care journey.
Role Objective
The Health Counsellor will guide patients from enquiry to service completion by understanding their needs, converting enquiries into bookings, coordinating with healthcare partners, and ensuring a smooth patient experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Patient Enquiry Handling: Respond to patient enquiries through calls, WhatsApp, app, website, and CRM in a timely and professional manner.
- Patient Counselling & Basic Medical Intake: Understand patient concerns, capture basic medical details, and guide them toward the appropriate healthcare service without giving medical advice.
- Lead Conversion & Booking Closure: Convert patient enquiries into confirmed bookings for consultations, lab tests, doctor home visits, and other UzuHealth services.
- Follow-up & Patient Engagement: Follow up with interested, pending, and inactive patients to reduce drop-offs and improve booking completion.
- Doctor, Lab & Operations Coordination: Coordinate with doctors, labs, field staff, and internal teams to ensure timely appointment confirmation and service delivery.
- Patient Experience & Complaint Handling: Ensure patients feel supported, informed, and satisfied throughout their healthcare journey.
- CRM & Documentation: Update all patient interactions, follow-ups, booking status, payment status, and service details accurately in the CRM or tracking system.
- Payment & Booking Support: Guide patients through the payment and booking confirmation process and help resolve basic payment-related confusion.
Key Skills Required
- Strong communication skills in Hindi, English, and Assamese.
- Strong cold calling and follow-up skills
- Comfortable with sales targets, follow-ups, and booking conversion.
- Basic understanding of medical terms and healthcare services.
- Ability to handle calls, WhatsApp messages, and CRM update
- Good coordination, multitasking, and organizational skills.
- Proven experience in lead conversion and customer acquisition.
- Ability to build rapport and convert enquiries into confirmed consultations, lab tests, and healthcare services
Preferred Background
- 1–4 years of experience in Health Counselling, Telecalling, Inside Sales, Patient Counselling, Customer Success, or Lead Conversion roles.
- Clinic front desk or patient coordinator experience
- Hospital OPD/IPD coordination experience.
- Diagnostic centre or lab booking experience.
- Healthcare call centre or telemedicine experience.
- Prior experience in patient support, healthcare sales, or customer coordination.
- ·Experience in achieving monthly conversion and revenue targets.
- ·Candidates with experience in healthcare, diagnostics, hospitals, insurance, wellness, or healthcare technology platforms will be preferred.
- Prior experience in lead generation, cold calling, sales pitching, and converting enquiries into customers is highly desirable.
Qualification
Graduate in any discipline.
Healthcare, nursing, paramedical, hospital administration, psychology, or life sciences background will be preferred but is not mandatory.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate should be empathetic with patients, confident on calls, disciplined with follow-ups, comfortable with targets, and capable of converting enquiries into confirmed bookings while maintaining a professional patient experience.
