Job Summary
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Design Engineer to join our engineering team. The candidate will be responsible for preparing 2D & 3D engineering drawings, design calculations, BOMs, and manufacturing documents for pipe support systems, spring hangers, structural supports, and custom-engineered components. The role requires close coordination with estimation, production, quality, procurement, and project teams.
Key Responsibilities
Ø Prepare detailed 2D and 3D engineering and fabrication drawings using AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
Ø Develop General Arrangement (GA), assembly, manufacturing, and shop drawings.
Ø Create and maintain 3D models for pipe supports, spring hangers, and structural components.
Ø Generate 2D drawings from 3D models for manufacturing and documentation purposes.
Ø Prepare Bills of Materials (BOMs) and material specifications.
Ø Review customer specifications, technical documents, and project requirements.
Ø Perform design calculations for pipe supports spring hangers, structural supports, and fabricated components
Ø Prepare and maintain engineering documents including drawings, design reports, calculation sheets, and technical documentation.
Ø Coordinate with production and quality teams to ensure manufacturability and compliance with project requirements.
Ø Participate in design reviews and technical discussions with customers and consultants.
Ø Ensure compliance with applicable industry standards, codes, and customer specifications.
Required Skills
Ø Proficiency in MS Excel, AutoCAD (2D), and SolidWorks (3D modelling)
Ø Strong capability in preparing both 2D drawings and 3D models.
Ø Good understanding of engineering drawings, GD&T, and fabrication practices.
Ø Knowledge of steel structures, welded assemblies, and mechanical components.
Ø Ability to prepare BOMs, material take-offs, and manufacturing documents.
Ø Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ø Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Ø Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Ø Willingness to travel for project discussions, inspections, or site visits when required.
Preferred Candidate Profile
Ø 1–2 years of experience in mechanical design, fabrication design, or engineering projects.
Ø Hands-on experience in 2D drafting and 3D modelling of industrial components.
Ø Exposure to Pipe Supports, Structural Supports, Pressure Parts, or Industrial Equipment will be an added advantage.
Ø Familiarity with engineering standards and manufacturing processes.
Ø Basic understanding of stress analysis concepts and support engineering is desirable.

Ø Timely completion of 2D & 3D design deliverables.
Ø Accuracy of drawings, models, and BOMs.
Ø Reduction in design revisions and manufacturing deviations.
Ø Effective coordination with internal departments and customers.
Ø Compliance with project schedules and quality requirements.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹28,000.00 per month
