- About the Role
- We are looking for a hands-on Accounts & Finance professional to independently manage day-to-day accounting, statutory compliance, financial reporting, MIS and finance operations.
- The ideal candidate should have a combination of CA firm experience / CA articleship and corporate finance experience, with strong practical knowledge of accounting, taxation, financial statements and management reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day accounting and bookkeeping operations.
- Maintain accurate books of accounts and accounting records in Zoho Books.
- Handle accounts payable, accounts receivable, expenses, payments, receipts and bank reconciliations.
- Perform monthly book closure and ensure all accounting entries and reconciliations are completed accurately and on time.
- Prepare and review Profit & Loss Account, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow and other financial statements.
- Prepare regular MIS reports and management reports for management review.
- Analyse financial data, expenses, revenues, working capital and other key financial metrics.
- Coordinate with statutory auditors, tax consultants, CA firms and other external professionals.
- Support statutory audit, tax audit and preparation of audit schedules and supporting documents.
- Handle and coordinate GST, TDS, Income Tax and other applicable statutory compliances.
- Track statutory due dates and ensure timely filing and payment of applicable taxes and returns.
- Prepare TDS workings, GST workings and other compliance-related reconciliations.
- Assist in budgeting, cash-flow planning, expense monitoring and financial analysis.
- Monitor receivables, payables and outstanding balances.
- Verify invoices, supporting documents and expense claims before processing.
- Maintain proper documentation and financial records for audit and management purposes.
- Assist management with financial analysis, ad-hoc reports and decision-making requirements.
- Identify accounting and finance process improvements and implement better controls.
- Ensure confidentiality and accuracy of financial information.
- Required Qualifications & Experience
- B.Com / M.Com / CA Inter / CMA Inter or equivalent qualification.
- 3–6 years of relevant experience in Accounts & Finance.
- Candidates with CA firm experience / CA articleship experience along with corporate experience are preferred.
- Strong practical knowledge of accounting and financial reporting.
- Hands-on experience with Zoho Books is preferred.
- Good knowledge of GST, TDS, Income Tax and statutory compliance.
- Experience in preparing MIS reports and Financial Statements.
- Strong working knowledge of MS Excel.
- Ability to independently manage accounting and finance activities.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
