Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Safety Officer to ensure compliance with statutory safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment within manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of industrial safety practices, risk assessment, accident investigation, and regulatory compliance.
Qualifications
- B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Production, Industrial Safety, or related disciplines
- OR
- Any Degree with Diploma / PG Diploma in Industrial SafetyMandatory Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Safety Officer in manufacturing industries
- Proficiency in Tamil and Hindi
- Strong understanding of industrial safety regulations and statutory compliance

Key Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with the Factories Act, Tamil Nadu Factory Rules, and applicable safety regulations
- Coordinate with Factory Inspectorate, DISH, Fire Department, and other regulatory authorities
- Conduct Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment (HIRA)
- Perform safety inspections, audits, and monitor corrective actions
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, including root cause analysis
- Conduct safety inductions, toolbox talks, and awareness programs
- Monitor PPE compliance and safety standards
- Manage fire safety systems, emergency preparedness, and mock drills
- Implement and monitor Permit-to-Work systems:
- Hot Work
- Work at Height
- Confined Space Entry
- Electrical Isolation
- Excavation
- Ensure contractor safety compliance and induction programs
- Support ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 compliance initiatives
- Maintain safety records, reports, audit documentation, and MIS reports
Pay: ₹300,000.00 - ₹350,000.00 per year
