Role Overview :
The Automation Engineer is responsible for implementing and maintaining automation systems (PLC, SCADA, DCS, EMS) in the Resin manufacturing plant to ensure smooth, safe, and efficient operations. This role involves troubleshooting automation issues, optimizing process control systems, supporting continuous improvement initiatives, and ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities :
- Develop and maintain PLC/ SCADA/ DCS systems for plant operations (batching, reactors, utilities etc.)
- Troubleshoot and resolve automation, control, and instrumentation issues on the shop floor
- Collaborate with Production department and maintenance teams to improve process efficiency and reliability
- Lead or support automation upgrade projects, including hardware and software migrations
- Maintain documentation of control logic, electrical diagrams, system configurations etc.
- Monitor system performance and identify opportunities for process optimization and cost reduction
- Ensure compliance with safety (LOTO, interlocks), quality, and environmental requirements
- Coordinate with external vendors and contractors for automation system maintenance and upgrades
- Provide training to production and maintenance team on automation systems
- Support audits and compliance-related documentation
- Maintenance & troubleshooting of VFD's, PID's, Starter, etc.
- Support to O&M of Electrical Panels like PDB Panel, MCC Panel, etc.
- Knowledge about HAZOP & Risk Assessment
- Ensure Calibration of process instruments.
Required Qualifications & Skills :
Education:
- B.E. / B.Tech in Instrumentation Engg. (full time)
Experience:
- Minimum 1-3 years experience in in automation engineering, preferably in chemical, resin, or polymer manufacturing
Technical Skills:
- Should have good troubleshooting & maintenance exposure of equipments/ systems like DCS, Energy Management System (EMS), Batch Management System, Low Voltage systems like CCTV, Fire alarm system, Attendance management system etc.
- Should be conversant with Field Instruments like Mass Flowmeters, Weighing systems, control valves etc. along with their troubleshooting.
- Should have basic knowledge of Hazardous Area classification, IP rating, Calibration etc. etc.
- Familiarity with industrial networks.
- Understanding of process control logic, batch control, and automation safety standards
- Familiarity to basic know-how of AI/ML.
Software Skills: Strong AutoCAD (for electrical schematics), Control System Software, MS Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)

Pay: ₹324,855.92 - ₹500,000.00 per year
