Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate, qualified, and dedicated TGT Social Science Teacher to teach students of Classes VI to X. The ideal candidate should possess strong subject knowledge in History, Geography, Civics, and Economics, and should be able to create an engaging and student-centered learning environment that promotes critical thinking, social awareness, and academic excellence.
Key ResponsibilitiesAcademic Responsibilities
- Teach Social Science subjects (History, Geography, Civics, and Economics) as per the prescribed curriculum (CBSE/ICSE/State Board).
- Prepare annual plans, lesson plans, worksheets, assignments, and teaching-learning materials.
- Deliver interactive, innovative, and engaging classroom sessions using modern teaching methodologies.
- Integrate digital tools, smart boards, maps, charts, and multimedia resources into teaching.
Student Assessment & Evaluation
- Conduct periodic assessments, tests, projects, and examinations.
- Evaluate answer scripts and maintain accurate academic records.
- Monitor student progress and provide timely feedback and remedial support where required.
- Prepare students for school examinations and board assessments.
Classroom Management
- Maintain discipline and foster a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment.
- Encourage inquiry-based learning, discussions, debates, and collaborative activities.
- Address individual learning needs through differentiated instruction.
Parent & School Collaboration
- Communicate student progress effectively during Parent-Teacher Meetings (PTMs).
- Collaborate with colleagues, coordinators, and school leadership for curriculum planning and school improvement.
- Participate actively in staff meetings, workshops, and professional development programs.
Co-curricular Responsibilities
- Organize and participate in school events, assemblies, exhibitions, educational trips, and club activities.
- Promote values, civic awareness, and social responsibility among students.
- Undertake additional duties assigned by the school administration from time to time.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's/Master's Degree in History, Geography, Political Science, Economics, or related Social Science discipline.
- B.Ed. degree from a recognized institution is mandatory.
- CTET/TET qualification preferred.
- Minimum 1–3 years of teaching experience in a reputed school (preferred).
Skills Required
- Excellent communication skills in English.
- Strong classroom management and interpersonal skills.
- Sound knowledge of the curriculum and assessment practices.
- Proficiency in educational technology and digital teaching tools.
- Ability to motivate and inspire students.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹15,000.00 per month
