Job Overview
We are looking for an experienced and customer-focused Restaurant Captain to lead the service team and ensure an exceptional dining experience. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in serving alcoholic beverages, managing bar service, and maintaining high hospitality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily restaurant service operations
- Lead and guide the service team during shifts
- Ensure excellent guest service and handle customer concerns professionally
- Take food and beverage orders, including alcoholic beverages
- Recommend wines, spirits, cocktails, and other beverages to guests
- Coordinate with the bar and kitchen team for smooth service
- Ensure responsible alcohol service in compliance with company policies
- Maintain service quality, hygiene, and safety standards
- Train and mentor junior service staff
- Monitor table setup, cleanliness, and overall guest experience
Requirements
- 1–5 years of experience as a Restaurant Captain or Senior Steward
- Experience in alcohol service is mandatory
- Knowledge of wines, spirits, cocktails, beer, and beverage pairing
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Well-groomed and professional appearance
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Flexible to work in rotational shifts, weekends, and public holidays
