Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Transport Manager with a minimum of 5 years of experience in transportation and fleet management. The candidate will be responsible for managing transportation operations, coordinating drivers, monitoring vehicle movements through GPS tracking, route planning, and maintaining transportation-related reports and MIS.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day transportation and fleet operations.
- Source, recruit, and coordinate drivers as per management requirements.
- Ensure timely deployment of vehicles and drivers.
- Monitor vehicle movement through GPS tracking systems.
- Plan and optimize routes to ensure cost-effective and timely transportation.
- Maintain records of vehicle utilization, fuel consumption, driver attendance, and trip details.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly transportation MIS reports using Excel.
- Coordinate with internal departments to fulfill transportation requirements.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and transport laws.
- Handle driver documentation, vehicle records, and related administrative activities.
- Monitor vehicle maintenance schedules and coordinate repairs when required.
- Analyze transportation costs and suggest process improvements.
Required Skills
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Transport/Fleet Management.
- Strong experience in driver sourcing and management.
- Hands-on experience with GPS tracking systems and route planning.
- Good knowledge of transportation operations and logistics coordination.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including reports, data analysis, and MIS preparation.
- Strong communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple transportation requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
- Graduate in any discipline.
- Experience in corporate transportation, logistics, or fleet management will be an added advantage.
