Senior Accountant (Chartered Accountant) – Construction Company
Job Summary
The Senior Accountant will be responsible for managing the full accounting cycle, financial reporting, tax compliance, and project‑based accounting for a construction company. The role involves monitoring project costs, vendor and subcontractor payments, statutory compliances, and preparing financial statements and management reports for internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the complete accounting cycle including invoice processing, ledger posting, reconciliations, and month/quarter/year‑end closing.
- Prepare financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) and project‑wise financial reports for management and lenders.
- Conduct project costing and profitability analysis, comparing budgets vs actuals and highlighting variances to management.
- Handle accounts payable & receivable, including vendor, subcontractor, and client bills, payment processing, and ageing analysis.
- Ensure GST, TDS, and other statutory compliances are met, and coordinate with external auditors and tax authorities.
- Maintain project accounting records, track work‑in‑progress (WIP), and prepare draw applications and reports for banks/financiers.
- Perform bank and ledger reconciliations for all bank accounts, loans, and credit facilities.
- Support and strengthen internal controls, documentation, and audit processes (internal, external, and statutory audits).
- Manage payroll accounting and related statutory liabilities such as PF, ESI, PT, and other applicable deductions.
- Operate and maintain records in Tally / accounting software, and generate MIS reports as required.
Qualifications & Experience
- Professional qualification in Chartered Accountancy (CA); CA Inter also considered for slightly junior roles.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in accounting, preferably in construction, real estate, or project‑based industries.
- Strong knowledge of Ind AS / GAAP, GST, TDS, project accounting, and construction‑industry practices.
- Proficient in MS Excel (advanced level) and at least one accounting software (Tally / QuickBooks / SAP / similar).

- Strong analytical skills for cost, profitability, and variance analysis.
- Good communication and coordination skills to work with finance, project managers, and support teams.
- Ability to work under deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Reporting & Work Details
- Reports to: Chief Financial Officer
- Location: Puppalaguda, Hyderabad
- Job Type: Full‑time, Permanent.
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹75,000.00 per month
