Job Description – PRT Computer
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic PRT Computer teacher to teach students at the Primary level (Classes I–V). The ideal candidate should possess strong knowledge of computer fundamentals and digital technologies, along with the ability to make learning interactive, engaging, and age-appropriate. The teacher will play a key role in developing students’ digital literacy, logical thinking, and basic coding and computer application skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach Computer Science effectively to primary classes as per the prescribed curriculum.
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons using interactive teaching methods, educational software, and digital learning resources.
- Introduce students to computer fundamentals, MS Office applications, internet safety, basic coding concepts, and digital citizenship.
- Conduct practical computer lab sessions and ensure the proper use and maintenance of computer equipment.
- Assess and monitor students’ progress through activities, projects, assignments, and periodic assessments.
- Create a positive and technology-rich learning environment that encourages creativity and problem-solving.
- Provide academic support and constructive feedback to students and maintain communication with parents regarding student progress.
- Participate in school activities, meetings, examinations, and professional development programmes.
- Follow school policies, academic guidelines, and safety norms.
Qualifications & Experience
- Graduate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, BCA, B.Sc. (Computer Science), B.Tech (CS/IT), or an equivalent discipline.
- B.Ed. or D.El.Ed./equivalent teaching qualification (preferred/mandatory as per school norms).
- Minimum 2–3 years of teaching experience at the primary level is preferred.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong command over computer fundamentals and digital teaching methodologies.
- Proficiency in English and excellent communication skills.
- Knowledge of MS Office, educational technology, coding basics, and digital learning platforms.

The teacher will inspire curiosity, observation, experimentation, and critical thinking while nurturing a scientific temperament among young learners.

- Encourage students to observe, explore, question, and understand the world around them through experiential learning.

- Create a safe and stimulating classroom environment that promotes curiosity and active participation.
- Organize science-related activities, exhibitions, and awareness programmes to enhance learning experiences.
