Qualification & Experience
- ITI / Diploma in Mechanical, Fitter, Machinist, Foundry, or related trade
- Experience: Fresher to 3 Years
- Age Group: 19–25 Years
We are looking for a skilled and safety-conscious Fettling Manipulator Operator to join our Fettling Shop team. The role involves operating fettling manipulators for grinding, finishing, and cleaning castings while ensuring adherence to production targets, quality standards, and safety protocols.
Key Responsibilities
Production Operations
- Achieve daily and shift production targets as per the plan
- Operate fettling manipulators for grinding and finishing of castings
- Ensure safe handling and movement of castings during operations
- Support continuous workflow and minimize downtime
Material Handling & Storage
- Store raw materials and finished components in designated areas
- Maintain proper identification and traceability of materials
- Handle castings carefully to prevent damage
Equipment & Crane Coordination
- Operate fettling manipulators safely and efficiently
- Coordinate with crane operators for loading/unloading activities
- Perform routine equipment checks and report issues promptly
- Ensure tools and equipment are maintained in good condition
Process & Quality Control
- Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions
- Ensure grinding and finishing meet quality specifications
- Identify and report defects or quality issues
- Maintain consistency to meet customer requirements
Safety, PPE & Housekeeping
- Adhere to all safety and EHS guidelines
- Maintain Zero Accident performance
- Use proper PPE at all times
- Follow 5S practices and maintain cleanliness of work area
- Participate in safety meetings and initiatives
Required Skills
Functional Skills
- Knowledge of fettling and grinding operations in foundries
- Basic understanding of casting defects and finishing standards
- Familiarity with crane-assisted material handling
Pay: ₹300,000.00 - ₹500,000.00 per year
