The SDR Manager, based in Pune, leads a team of Sales Development Representatives dedicated to generating pipeline for OpenGov's US go-to-market team. This role owns the performance, coaching, and day to day execution of the Pune SDR team, ensuring consistent, high quality outbound activity into the US public sector market. You'll report to a US-based Director of Sales Development and act as the connective tissue between the Pune team and US leadership, translating strategy into daily execution and results.
• Manage and coach a team of 6 SDRs so they consistently hit pipeline and activity targets • Monitor individual and team metrics (calls, emails, meetings booked, pipeline generated) and run regular one on one meetings and performance reviews
- Translate US GTM strategy and territory priorities from US leadership into daily and weekly execution plans for the Pune team
- Build onboarding, ramp plans, and ongoing skill development programs so new SDRs reach full productivity quickly
- Partner closely with the US-based Director of Sales Development and US Account Executives to align on lead quality, handoff process, and feedback loops
- Ensure the team uses Salesforce, Outreach, and LinkedIn effectively, and maintain clean, accurate reporting for leadership
• Manage a team working US-aligned hours from Pune, including shift scheduling and coverage planning • Deliver regular updates to US leadership on team performance, pipeline health, and areas for improvement • Build a high energy, competitive, and supportive team culture that keeps SDRs engaged and motivated
- 6+ years of experience in sales development or outbound sales, including a proven track record managing SDR or BDR teams
- Experience managing a team that supports a US market or works US-aligned hours
• Strong coaching skills, with a track record of developing reps and improving individual performance • Comfortable working US-aligned hours from Pune
- Excellent spoken and written English, with the ability to communicate effectively with US-based leadership and stakeholders
- A data driven approach to managing pipeline and activity metrics, with fluency in Salesforce and sales engagement tools (Outreach or similar)
- Genuinely curious about technology and its role in government, with the ability to translate that curiosity into team level coaching
• Background in B2B, SaaS, BPO, or government focused sales organizations is a strong plus • Bachelor's degree preferred
