Role Overview:
We are looking for a Store Associate to join our team at our new Mami Bombay cart in a premium Mumbai mall.
You will work as part of a small team and will be responsible for serving customers, preparing and presenting our products, managing online delivery orders, maintaining cleanliness, and supporting the daily operation of the cart.
Previous experience in F&B, hospitality, or retail is a plus, but we are also open to candidates with little or no previous experience who are motivated, reliable, and willing to learn.
Key Responsibilities:
- Welcome customers and provide friendly and attentive service.
- Take customer orders and operate the POS system accurately.
- Prepare and serve tiramisu according to Mami Bombay's standards.
- Manage incoming orders from online food delivery platforms such as Zomato and other aggregators.
- Ensure online orders are prepared accurately, packed correctly, and handed over on time to delivery partners.
- Check online orders carefully before handing them over to ensure all items are correct.
- Ensure every product is presented correctly and consistently.
- Handle cash and digital payments responsibly.
- Keep the cart clean, organised, and presentable throughout the day.
- Follow all food safety and hygiene procedures.
- Assist with receiving, organising, and checking stock.
- Help minimise product wastage and report any issues to the Store Supervisor.
- Support the team during busy periods and help ensure efficient service.
- Follow daily operating procedures and instructions from the Store Supervisor.
- Represent Mami Bombay in a friendly, professional, and positive manner.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in F&B, hospitality, or retail is a plus but not required.
- Friendly, positive, and customer-oriented attitude.
- Reliable and punctual.
- Willingness to learn and take responsibility.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to work well as part of a small team.
- Comfortable working with POS systems and online ordering platforms.
- Comfortable using tablets or smartphones to manage online orders.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to cleanliness and detail.
- Willingness to be hands-on and help wherever needed.
- Comfortable working 6 days per week, 9 hours per day, including weekends and public holidays according to the roster.
