As a Custom Software Engineer, a typical day involves creating tailored software solutions by designing, coding, and improving various components within systems or applications. The role requires working closely with teams to apply modern development frameworks and agile methodologies, ensuring that the software delivered is scalable, efficient, and aligned with unique business requirements. This position demands continuous collaboration and innovation to meet evolving project goals and client expectations in a dynamic work environment.
Roles & Responsibilities:
1. Develop VV test strategies for cross domain SDV embedded software including AUTOSAR Classic BSW, AUTOSAR Adaptive services, Linux drivers, and SDV middleware.
2. Implement SIL Software in the Loop test environments for AUTOSAR Classic using virtual ECU with d SPACE VEOS or Vector CANoe and v TEST studio.
3. Build SIL test environments for AUTOSAR Adaptive services including containerized service instances, mock aracom backends, and simulated Manifest deployments.
4. Develop HIL integration test automation using d SPACE SCALEXION, NI PXI, or Vector CANoe RT for embedded platform hardware integration validation.
5. Write automated test scripts in Python pytest, Robot Framework, CAPL, or Shell for BSW, middleware, and Linux driver regression testing.
6. Execute ISO 26262 software level tests including structural coverage, statement coverage, branch coverage, MCDC for ASIL C and ASIL D, fault injection, and watchdog supervision tests.
7. Validate AUTOSAR BSW stack integration including OS task timing analysis, COM PDU reception and transmission, NvM read and write cycle, and DCM UDS service tests.
8. Validate AUTOSAR Adaptive service behavior including aracom SOMEIP service discovery, method call timeout, event subscription, and field notification.
9. Validate platform security mechanisms including secure boot chain verification, TEE HSM API functional tests, and AUTOSAR Sec OC message authentication.
10. Maintain requirements traceability using Polariton, Code beamer, and DOORS NG and prepare ASPICE SWE4 to SWE6 VV evidence for audit readiness.
Professional & Technical Skills:
1. Must Have Experience in automotive embedded software VV AUTOSAR BSW testing Linux driver testing or middleware service validation
2. Must Have Knowledge of SIL based AUTOSAR testing virtual ECU versus ECU using dSPACE VEOS Vector CANoe vTESTstudio or ETAS COSYM
3. Must Have Proficiency in test automation Python pytest Robot Framework Shell scripting or CAPL for embedded software regression testing
4. Must Have Understanding of ISO 26262 software level testing structural coverage fault injection and ASIL A B C D test requirements
5. Must Have Experience with AUTOSAR BSW functional testing OS COM PDU routing DCM UDS DEM and NvM module validation
6. Must Have Familiarity with HIL test platforms dSPACE SCALEXION MicroAutoBox Vector CANoe RT or NI VeriStand for integration testing
7. Must Have Knowledge of ALM and requirements traceability Polarion Codebeamer IBM DOORS NG for VV evidence management
8. Good to Have Experience with AUTOSAR Adaptive service testing ara com SOMEIP mock service discovery testing and lifecycle validation
9. Good to Have Familiarity with Linux driver testing kernel module unit testing kunit ftrace based driver testing and sysfs interface validation
10. Good to Have Knowledge of SDV platform security testing secure boot verification TLS DTLS endpoint testing and SecOC message forgery testing
11. Good to Have Exposure to OTA update testing Uptane client validation A B update cycle fault injection and rollback verification
12. Good to Have Understanding of ASPICE SWE4 to SWE6 process compliance and audit ready evidence preparation for automotive programs
Additional Information:
- The candidate should have minimum 4 years of experience in Automotive Embedded Software or SDV Platform Development cross-domain.
- This position is based at our Pune office.
