Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced and highly strategic Purchase Manager to lead the procurement operations for our upcoming construction and real estate projects. You will be responsible for sourcing high-quality civil materials, architectural finishes, and interior components while optimizing costs and ensuring timely delivery to multiple project sites. The ideal candidate will have a robust network of regional and national vendors, sharp negotiation skills, and a deep understanding of the real estate supply chain.
Key Responsibilities
1. Sourcing & Procurement
- Lead the end-to-end procurement cycle for bulk construction materials (steel, cement, RMC, aggregates) and finishing materials (tiles, plumbing, electricals, and interior fixtures).
- Identify, evaluate, and onboard reliable vendors, contractors, and suppliers to build a robust supply chain network.
- Monitor market trends and commodity pricing to strategically time bulk purchases and secure cost advantages.
2. Vendor Management & Negotiation
- Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers to maximize ROI without compromising on quality.
- Establish and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key suppliers and distributors.
- Conduct regular vendor performance evaluations based on quality, delivery timelines, and responsiveness.
3. Budgeting & Cost Control
- Collaborate with the estimation and planning teams to develop accurate procurement budgets for each project phase.
- Track actual procurement expenses against budgets, identifying variances and implementing corrective actions.
- Drive value-engineering initiatives by suggesting alternative, cost-effective materials that meet architectural and structural standards.
4. Operations & Compliance
- Manage the generation and approval of Purchase Orders (POs), Work Orders (WOs), and vendor contracts.
- Coordinate seamlessly with site engineers and project managers to ensure just-in-time (JIT) material delivery, preventing site downtime and inventory pile-ups.
- Ensure all procurement activities comply with internal company policies, quality standards, and legal regulations.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or Business Administration.
- Experience: 2–5 years of dedicated procurement experience within the construction, real estate, or large-scale interior development sectors.
- Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of construction materials, market rates, and architectural specifications.
- Software Proficiency: Hands-on experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or industry-specific procurement software) and MS Office Suite.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹42,000.00 per month
