Position
Online English Language Tutor (Grades 1–12)
Key Responsibilities
- Teach English Language to students from Grades 1–12.
- Teach Reading, Writing, Grammar, Vocabulary, Speaking, Listening, Pronunciation, Creative Writing, Public Speaking, and Reading Comprehension.
- Prepare students for school assessments and English proficiency examinations where applicable (IELTS, TOEFL, PTE, Cambridge English, SAT English, etc.).
- Develop structured lesson plans based on the student's learning goals.
- Assign and review homework regularly.
- Prepare worksheets, quizzes, assignments, mock tests, and assessments.
- Monitor student progress and submit regular academic updates to Lugeta Academy.
- Maintain professionalism, punctuality, and timely communication with the academy.
Mandatory Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in English, English Literature, Education, Linguistics, or a related field.
- Excellent spoken and written English communication skills.
- Minimum 2 years of online teaching experience.
- Experience teaching students from different countries (USA, UK, Canada, Australia, UAE, Singapore, etc.) is mandatory.
- Strong command of English grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, and communication.
- Experience teaching Grades 1–12.
- Ability to independently prepare lesson plans, worksheets, assignments, and assessments.
- Ability to evaluate student performance and maintain progress reports.
- Strong classroom management and student engagement skills.
- Professional attitude, reliability, and commitment to assigned responsibilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in English, English Literature, Education, or a related field.
- TEFL, TESOL, CELTA, DELTA, or equivalent teaching certification.
- Experience preparing students for IELTS, TOEFL, PTE, Cambridge English, SAT English, or other internationally recognized English examinations.
- Familiarity with AI tools such as ChatGPT, Gemini, or Microsoft Copilot for lesson planning and educational content creation.

- Proficiency with Google Meet, Zoom, or similar online teaching platforms (Mandatory)
- Ability to create digital worksheets, assignments, presentations, and assessments (Mandatory)
- HD Webcam (Preferred)
- Good-quality microphone/headset (Preferred)
- Pen tablet (Preferred)
- Quiet and professional teaching environment (Preferred)
- Familiarity with Google Drive, Google Docs, Google Sheets, and Microsoft PowerPoint (Preferred)
Work Schedule

Compensation
