Key Responsibilities
- System Design: Create 2D and 3D plant layouts, string sizing configurations, and structural mounting frameworks for rooftop and ground-mounted solar projects.
- Electrical Engineering: Perform cable sizing (AC/DC), earthing and lightning protection layouts, inverter selection, and Single Line Diagram (SLD) preparation.
- Simulation & Yield Analysis: Use simulation tools (e.g., PVsyst, Helioscope) to predict energy yield, assess shading, and maximize performance ratios.
- Site Assessment: Conduct feasibility studies analyzing local weather, roof load capacities, and electrical grid interconnectivity.
- Documentation & Compliance: Prepare Bill of Quantities (BOQ), technical proposals, and net-metering documents while ensuring compliance with state and electrical regulatory standards.
Essential Qualifications & Skills
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Renewable Energy.
- Software Proficiency: Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD, SketchUp, and PV system modeling software.
- Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of grid-tied, off-grid, and hybrid PV system architectures, along with battery storage integration.
- Analytical Skills: Excellent capability to perform complex electrical calculations and interpret local utility and government regulations
