The Senior Analyst Project Financial Controller is responsible for providing high-quality financial reporting, forecasting, review, and analysis to support Project Managers and Delivery teams, ensuring compliance with deadlines, financial governance, and quality requirements. He/She is responsible for driving effective project financial control and acting as a Finance Champion within his/her remit to ensure compliance with SITA policies, processes, accounting standards, and financial guidelines. The role reports to the Manager Project Financial Control.

Partner with Project Managers to provide clear visibility of project financial performance against approved Business Cases and contractual commitments.

Ensure effective financial handover from the sales cycle into project execution, validating supporting documentation including contracts, approved Business Cases, and commercial assumptions.

Establish and maintain project financial structures, controls, and reporting mechanisms to enable effective project tracking and governance.

Develop and maintain project budgets, forecasts, and financial plans throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring alignment with project objectives and expected outcomes.

Lead project revenue recognition, billing validation, profitability analysis, and P&L monitoring to ensure accurate financial reporting and performance tracking.

Perform regular reviews of project actuals, analyze variances against budget and forecast, and provide financial insights and recommendations to Project Managers and key stakeholders.

Manage project financial activities during month-end close, including accruals, deferrals, asset and inventory tracking, and balance sheet monitoring in partnership with accounting teams.

Prepare and present monthly project financial reports, highlighting project performance, key risks, contingency utilization, opportunities, and forecast changes to support project governance reviews and decision-making.

Support Project Review Boards (PRBs) and portfolio reviews by providing financial analysis, forecasting updates, risk assessments, and recommendations to improve project profitability and cash performance.

Provide guidance and support to Project Financial Controllers across the portfolio, promoting financial control best practices, consistency in reporting, compliance with IAS/IFRS standards, and successful project closeout and handover to operations.
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Commerce, Business Administration, or a related discipline.

Professional accounting qualifications (CA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA, or equivalent) preferred.

3-5 years of experience in Project Finance, Financial Control, Project Accounting, FP&A, or Business Finance roles.

Strong understanding of project accounting, budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and project profitability management.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
NICE-TO-HAVE:

Experience supporting technology, aviation, telecommunications, or infrastructure projects.

Knowledge of SAP, Oracle, Hyperion, OneStream, Power BI, or similar financial reporting systems.

Experience working within IFRS reporting environments and global project governance frameworks.

Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Commerce, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
