About the Role
Live Building Systems India is hiring a Solutions Engineer with experience in building commissioning, retro-commissioning, and energy auditing. This role combines field execution, real-time monitoring, and team guidance to improve building performance, reduce energy and water waste, and support compliance-driven workflows.
Ideal for candidates with 3–7 years of experience who want to move beyond traditional audits into real-time analytics, smart controls, and continuous commissioning.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform energy audits aligned with ASHRAE Level I–III methodologies
- Execute commissioning and retro-commissioning of HVAC, electrical, and water systems
- Support preparation of Energy Efficiency Reports (EER) (audit + RCx documentation)
- Monitor live building data (energy, water, fuel) to identify inefficiencies and anomalies
- Implement Energy Conservation Measures (ECMs) with measurable ROI
- Validate installations, perform system testing, and optimize performance
- Guide and coordinate field technicians and junior engineers
- Prepare clear, client-facing reports with actionable recommendations
- Support monitoring-based commissioning (MBCx) and continuous optimization
LL87 / Compliance-Oriented Experience (Preferred)
- Familiarity with workflows similar to NYC Local Law 87, including:
- Periodic energy audits and retro-commissioning
- Structured reporting through Energy Efficiency Reports (EER)
- Evaluation of base building systems (HVAC, lighting, DHW, controls)
- Understanding of compliance-driven engineering and documentation
Qualifications
- 3–7 years of experience in commissioning, retro-commissioning, or energy auditing
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, pumps, controls, and electrical systems
- Familiarity with ASHRAE standards and audit methodologies
- Experience with BMS/EMS systems or energy analytics platforms preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Energy Engineering
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage fieldwork and guide small teams
Preferred
- CEM, EBCP, or similar certifications
- Experience with commercial or residential building portfolios
