Job Summary**
The Team Leader/Manager at ALS Testing Services India Private Limited will be responsible for overseeing and guiding a team of professionals to ensure the efficient and accurate delivery of testing services. This role involves fostering team growth, maintaining high-quality standards, and optimizing operational workflows.
Job Responsibilities**
- Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of technical staff, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
- Allocate tasks and manage project timelines to ensure timely completion of testing activities.
- Monitor team performance, provide regular feedback, and conduct performance reviews.
- Ensure adherence to established quality control procedures, safety regulations, and industry standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues or operational challenges within the team.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of new testing methodologies and process improvements.
- Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders and external clients regarding project status and technical findings.
- Assist in training new team members and ongoing professional development of the existing team.
- Prepare and present reports on team performance, project progress, and quality metrics.
- Manage team resources, including equipment, materials, and personnel scheduling.
Job Qualifications**
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant scientific or engineering discipline (e.g., Chemistry, Microbiology, Environmental Science, Chemical Engineering).
- 10-14 yrs. of experience in Food and Environmental testing laboratory , with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Strong technical knowledge and practical experience in analytical testing methodologies relevant to ALS's services (e.g., chemical, physical, microbiological).
- Technically capable of guiding the team for method development and method validation as per various guidelines for food safety and food quality parameters with thorough knowledge of chemical Nutritional and residue analysis for various food and Agricultural products.
- Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop a team.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in laboratory information management systems (LIMS) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Familiarity with national and international quality standards (e.g., ISO 17025:2017) mandatory.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
