Job Summary**
LPL Financial Corp is seeking an experienced Production Support QE Manager to lead a team responsible for ensuring the quality, stability, and performance of our production systems. This role combines leadership, technical expertise, and a strong focus on incident prevention and resolution within a critical financial services environment.
Job Responsibilities**
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of Production Support Quality Engineers, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Oversee the development and implementation of robust testing strategies for production support, including monitoring, alerting, and incident response validation.
- Drive the analysis of production incidents, identifying root causes, and implementing preventative measures and automated solutions to minimize recurrence.
- Collaborate closely with development, operations, and business teams to understand system architecture, data flows, and critical business processes.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive quality metrics, dashboards, and reporting to track the health, performance, and reliability of production systems.
- Champion best practices in production support, including incident management, problem management, change management, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Participate in on-call rotation and critical incident management as needed, providing leadership and technical guidance during high-priority events.
- Evaluate and implement new tools and technologies to enhance production support capabilities, automation, and efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal security policies relevant to financial services production environments.
- Conduct performance reviews, provide regular feedback, and support the professional growth and development of team members.
Job Qualifications**
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
- 8+ years of experience in Quality Assurance, Production Support, or a related technical role, with at least 3 years in a leadership or management position.
- Proven experience working in a financial services or other highly regulated industry.
- Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and various testing methodologies (e.g., functional, regression, performance, resilience).
- Expertise in production monitoring tools (e.g., Splunk, Dynatrace, Prometheus, Grafana) and incident management systems.
- Proficiency in at least one scripting or programming language (e.g., Python, Java, C#, SQL).
- Solid experience with database technologies (SQL and NoSQL) and ability to write complex queries for data analysis and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with a strong attention to detail.
- Exceptional communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a high-performing team in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
