Job Summary:
Responsible for end-to-end procurement and import/export operations to ensure timely, cost-effective, and compliant supply of materials. The role integrates purchasing, logistics coordination, vendor management, and regulatory compliance to support manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities
1. Procurement & Purchase Operations
- Manage complete PR to PO cycle within defined timelines
- Review and act on open purchase requisitions; ensure timely closure
- Maintain accurate vendor master data and procurement records
- Monitor open POs, follow up with suppliers, and ensure delivery adherence
- Ensure GRN completion, PO compliance, and documentation accuracy
- Track and reduce vendor lead times; optimize sourcing cycles
- Facilitate timely vendor payments and resolve discrepancies
- Recover credit notes, GST, and cost adjustments from suppliers
- Support sourcing for new product development in coordination with internal teams
2. Vendor Management & Strategic Sourcing
- Develop and expand supplier base to reduce risk and improve
- Negotiate pricing, contracts, and commercial terms
- Conduct periodic vendor performance evaluations (quality, cost, delivery
- Lead vendor audits and onboarding processes
- Establish supply agreements aligned with company procurement policies
- Drive continuous improvement (target-driven vendor enhancement programs)
3. Import Operations (Air & Sea)
- Manage end-to-end import logistics including planning, tracking, and delivery
- Coordinate with CHA, freight forwarders, shipping lines, and transporters
- Handle import documentation (BL, invoices, packing list, insurance, etc.)
- Ensure compliance with customs regulations and clearance procedures
- Monitor Icegate status, BOE filings, and duty payments
- Minimize detention, demurrage, and additional logistics costs
- Validate freight costing across modes (air/sea/road)
4. Export Operations
- Plan and execute export shipments as per customer schedules
- Manage export documentation (invoice, COO, packing list, etc.)
- Coordinate with regulatory bodies (DGFT, customs, etc.)
- Ensure compliance with export incentives schemes (RoDTEP, EPCG, Advance License)
- Track export realization and BRC (Bank Realization Certificate) process
- Ensure proper closure of export transactions
5. Customs & Regulatory Compliance
- Ensure correct HSN classification and compliance with customs regulations
- Handle customs queries, audits, appeals, and documentation
- Liaise with customs officials, consultants, and government agencies
- Ensure adherence to IDPMS and other regulatory systems
- Maintain zero deviation in compliance areas (HSN, documentation, procedures)
6. Logistics & Supply Chain Coordination
- Optimize logistics planning (Air/Sea/Surface) and Incoterms application
- Ensure transporter compliance and adherence to delivery timelines
- Monitor shipment tracking and resolve delivery bottlenecks
- Coordinate across internal departments (Planning, Finance, QA, Production)
7. Reporting, MIS & Controls
- Generate and share:
- Open PO reports
- Freight and logistics reports (monthly)
- Export/import data reports
- Support audits (SOX/internal) and compliance reporting
- Maintain documentation and audit trails for all transactions
- Track and claim incentives such as RoDTEP quarterly
Qualifications & Experience
- Education: Bachelor’s degree (B.Tech / BBA / Commerce preferred); specialization in Supply Chain or Materials Management desirable
- Experience: Minimum 5+ years in Purchase & Impex operations in manufacturing
Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of import/export regulations and documentation
- Expertise in procurement processes (P2P cycle)
- Proficiency in SAP (MM module), Excel, PowerPoint
- Commercial acumen and negotiation skills
- Analytical and problem-solving ability

- Knowledge of Incoterms, logistics costing, and vendor management

Pay: ₹40,017.89 - ₹60,312.96 per month
