1. Inbound Logistics Management
- Coordinate receipt of raw materials such as coal tar pitch, carbon black, refractories, ferro alloys, chemicals, packaging materials, and other plant consumables.
- Monitor supplier dispatch schedules and transportation status..
- Coordinate with stores, procurement, production, and quality departments.
- Manage weighbridge operations and inward documentation.
2. Outbound Logistics & Dispatch
- Monitor loading activities and vehicle turnaround time.
- Generate delivery challans, invoices, e-way bills, gate passes, and transport documentation.
- Coordinate with customers and transporters for timely delivery.
3. Fleet & Transporter Management
- Develop and maintain transporter network.
- Negotiate freight rates and transportation contracts.
- Monitor vehicle utilization and GPS tracking.
- Ensure vehicle compliance, insurance, permits, and fitness certificates.
- Handle transportation emergencies and route diversions.
4. Inventory & Warehouse Coordination
- Maintain stock visibility of raw materials and finished goods.
- Coordinate physical stock verification.
- Ensure proper stacking, storage, and material handling practices.
5. Documentation & Compliance
- Prepare and verify:
- E-way Bills
- LR (Lorry Receipt)
- Delivery Challans
- Invoices
- Gate Passes
- Transport Bills
- Ensure GST and transport compliance.
- Maintain transporter and vendor records.
- Support internal and statutory audits.
7. MIS & Reporting
- Prepare daily logistics MIS.
- Monitor dispatch performance.
- Track delivery performance and delays.
- Support management reviews with data analysis.
