We are seeking a detail-oriented Electronics Assembly & QC Technician to join our hardware production team. This role is highly hands-on and requires taking ownership of the end-to-end hardware assembly process. The ideal candidate will be responsible for gathering components, performing precision soldering on PCBs, conducting thorough electronic testing, and completing the final mechanical fitting of our devices before they are ready for deployment.
Key Responsibilities
- Raw Material Preparation & Kitting:
- Handle the pick up of the material from the raw materials inventory according to the daily production schedule and project requirements.
- Organize and verify BOM (Bill of Materials) components, ensuring all required ICs, resistors, capacitors, wires, and enclosures are present and defect-free before starting assembly.
- Soldering & PCB Assembly:
- Perform high-quality through-hole and Surface Mount Device (SMD) soldering on printed circuit boards.
- Solder wire harnesses, connectors, and external peripherals to the main circuit boards accurately and cleanly.
- Ensure all soldering meets quality standards, avoiding cold joints, bridges, or component damage.
- Circuit Testing & Quality Control:
- Perform complete continuity checks and visual inspections of the assembled circuits using multimeters and oscilloscopes.
- Conduct power-on tests and functional verifications to ensure the hardware operates exactly as intended.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and repair any hardware faults or soldering defects found during the testing phase.
- Final Fitting & Assembly:
- Carefully fit the tested PCBs and internal wiring into their final mechanical enclosures (e.g., DIN rail mounts, industrial casings, or custom IoT boxes).
- Ensure all screws, standoffs, and mechanical fasteners are securely tightened and that cables are neatly routed.
- Perform a final external quality check to ensure the finished unit is robust, properly sealed, and ready for end-user delivery.
- Operations & Documentation:
- Log component usage, assembly progress, and daily output directly into the company’s internal task and inventory management portal to maintain accurate stock levels.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and ESD-safe workstation.
