Academic Responsibilities
- Curriculum Delivery: Planning and delivering lessons for specific subjects (e.g., English, Science, Mathematics) in strict alignment with the ICSE (Class I-X) or ISC (Class XI-XII) syllabi.
- Methodology: Using interactive and application-oriented strategies like Active Learning, "Hook" activities, and differentiated instruction to cater to various learning styles.
- Board Preparation: Preparing students for external board exams by using Specimen Question Papers and analyzing past pupil performance data provided by the Council.
Assessment & Compliance
- Internal Assessments: Managing the mandatory ICSE Project Work and Practical Assignments. Teachers must ensure submissions are plagiarism-free, well-documented, and follow specific Council formats.
- Record Keeping: Maintaining "Evidence Files," including project rubrics, laboratory records, and attendance for practicals, which are subject to inspection by the Council.
- SUPW: Overseeing and evaluating Socially Useful Productive Work (SUPW) and Community Service, which are compulsory for a pass certificate.
Administrative & Pastoral Duties
- Classroom Management: Ensuring a safe, disciplined, and inclusive environment, strictly adhering to the Council's prohibition of corporal punishment.
- Examination Duties: Serving as Invigilators or Supervising Examiners during board exams, ensuring compliance with strict security and CCTV protocols.
- Parental Engagement: Communicating student progress regularly through Parent-Teacher Meetings (PTMs) and school ERP systems.
