Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to oversee day-to-day accounting operations, ensure accurate financial reporting, maintain compliance with statutory requirements, and support management with financial analysis. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of accounting principles, taxation, financial controls, and ERP systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the general ledger and ensure accurate recording of financial transactions.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Reconcile bank accounts, vendor accounts, and customer ledgers.
- Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll accounting.
- Prepare and file GST, TDS, Income Tax, and other statutory returns (as applicable).
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and company policies.
- Coordinate with auditors during internal and external audits.
- Monitor cash flow, budgets, and financial forecasts.
- Review journal entries and account reconciliations for accuracy.
- Analyze financial data and provide reports to management for decision-making.
- Maintain fixed asset registers and depreciation schedules.
- Support the implementation and improvement of accounting processes and internal controls.
- Mentor and guide junior accounting staff.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce.
- CA Inter, CMA, MBA Finance, or equivalent qualification is preferred.
- 5–8 years of relevant accounting experience.
- Strong knowledge of accounting standards, taxation, and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in ERP software (SAP, Oracle, Tally, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar) and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
