The Production Engineer will be responsible for planning, executing, and monitoring fabrication activities to ensure timely production with optimal quality and cost efficiency. The role involves manpower handling, coordination with cross-functional teams, and maintaining production standards as per drawings and specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, organize, and monitor daily and weekly production schedules to ensure timely completion of targets.
- Allocate and manage junior staff effectively across fabrication activities to optimize manpower utilization.
- Supervise fabrication processes and ensure adherence to drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
- Maintain and ensure daily checklists for liner, fabrication, corrugation, and radial drilling activities.
- Ensure achievement of production targets while maintaining efficiency, quality, and resource utilization.
- Oversee material loading and packing as per standard BOQ/OTF to avoid installation delays.
- Maintain accurate work records and verify factory contractor bills regularly.
- Prepare daily and weekly production reports and update management on progress, issues, and delays.
- Ensure weekly maintenance and proper functioning of machines and equipment.
- Coordinate with procurement and stores to ensure availability of raw materials and consumables.
- Monitor material usage, reduce scrap and rework, and control overall production costs.
- Collaborate with design and logistics teams to ensure smooth workflow and timely dispatches.
- Train, guide, and supervise fabrication staff to improve productivity, skills, and quality output.
- Maintain proper documentation including OTF, IIR, incoming material QC reports, and packing lists.
