About the Company
Wise Monkey Rum is an alcoholic beverage / spirits brand. We are looking for a talented and experienced Design Director to lead and execute the brand’s visual design work.
Important: This role is with a liquor / alcohol / spirits company. Only candidates who are fully comfortable working with an alcohol brand should apply.
Role Overview
We are hiring a Design Director whose main responsibility will be graphic design work mainly 3D animation for Wise Monkey Rum. The ideal candidate should be highly creative, detail-oriented, and capable of creating strong visual designs for an alcohol brand across packaging, print, digital, social media, marketing materials, and brand communication.
This is a hands-on design role. The person should not only guide the visual direction but also actively create designs themselves.
Key Responsibilities
- Create high-quality graphic designs for the brand
- Design social media creatives, digital ads, banners, posters, brochures, flyers, and marketing materials
- Work on packaging design, label design, bottle design support, cartons, gift boxes, POSM, and trade marketing materials
- Develop brand visuals that look premium, modern, and suitable for the liquor / spirits industry
- Ensure all designs follow Wise Monkey Rum’s brand identity and visual guidelines
- Create design concepts for product launches, campaigns, events, promotions, and trade activities
- Work closely with the marketing, sales, production, and management teams
- Coordinate with printers, vendors, agencies, photographers, videographers, and freelancers when required
- Review artwork, print files, dimensions, colours, layouts, and final production files
- Maintain consistency across all brand communication and marketing touchpoints
- Support digital marketing and PR teams with creative assets
- Improve the overall look and feel of the brand across online and offline platforms
- Take ownership of design execution from concept to final output
Requirements
- Strong experience in graphic design, branding, packaging, advertising, or visual communication
- Excellent portfolio showcasing design skills
- Strong command of Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and other design tools
- Knowledge of Canva, Autodesk Maya, Figma, CorelDRAW, or video editing tools will be an added advantage
- Experience in packaging, label design, FMCG, alcohol, beverages, lifestyle, luxury, hospitality, or retail branding will be preferred
- Good understanding of print production, file preparation, colours, layout, typography, and visual hierarchy
- Ability to create premium-looking designs suitable for a liquor / spirits brand
- Must be comfortable working with a liquor / alcohol / spirits company
- Ability to manage multiple design tasks and meet deadlines
- Strong attention to detail and creative problem-solving skills
- Ability to take feedback and revise designs professionally
Candidate Profile
We are looking for someone who is creative, skilled, and hands-on. The candidate should be able to think like a brand designer but execute like a strong graphic designer.
This role is suitable for someone who can create premium visuals, understand brand positioning, and help Wise Monkey Rum look stronger across packaging, social media, marketing, and sales materials.
Salary
₹10,000 – ₹2,20,000 per month
Salary will depend on experience, skills, portfolio, and suitability for the role.
