Unit Manager – QA, Commercial & External Partnerships Pharmaceutical Industry | Senior Management

Job Objective
We are looking for a senior pharmaceutical professional who can manage and strengthen relationships with external partners and stakeholders while supporting Quality Affairs, outsourced activities and business/access objectives.
The ideal candidate should have a combination of pharmaceutical industry experience, QA/Quality exposure, supplier/vendor management, procurement/commercial understanding, institutional or tender business exposure, and strong stakeholder-management skills.
Experience with international organizations, healthcare partners, donor-funded/global funding projects, procurement organizations or pharmaceutical access programmes will be highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities1. External Stakeholder & Partner Management
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders, healthcare partners, procurement organizations, outsourced laboratories, inspection agencies and strategic partners.
- Coordinate effectively between internal teams and external organizations.
- Manage contracts and commercial relationships with contract laboratories and inspection agencies.
- Conduct regular business reviews and performance meetings with external partners.
- Prepare management reports, business updates, presentations and briefing materials for international customers and access partners.
- Identify opportunities to strengthen external partnerships and improve business processes.
2. QA / Quality Management
- Support and strengthen the Quality Management System in line with applicable quality and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate quality activities related to outsourced laboratories and external partners.
- Review analytical protocols, method verification documentation and reports.
- Coordinate responses to analytical queries and OOS-related matters.
- Ensure appropriate documentation and follow-up of quality-related issues.
3. Supplier / Contract Laboratory Management
- Identify, evaluate and manage external service providers, contract laboratories and inspection agencies.
- Monitor vendor performance, quality, timelines and contractual commitments.
- Conduct/coordinate verification audits of contract laboratories.
- Drive corrective and preventive actions arising from audits or quality observations.
- Maintain effective supplier and partner relationships.
4. Procurement & Commercial Interface
- Work closely with procurement, commercial, supply chain, QA and business teams.
- Support vendor selection, commercial evaluation, negotiations and contract discussions.
- Understand procurement processes, tender requirements and institutional business models.
- Support commercial and operational decision-making involving external partners and suppliers.
- Monitor cost, service levels, contractual commitments and partner performance.
5. Global Funding / Institutional / Tender Exposure
- Manage or coordinate with organizations involved in global health, donor-funded or institutional programmes.
- Experience with organizations such as Global Fund, WHO, UNICEF, UNDP, PEPFAR, MSF or similar international/institutional organizations will be an advantage.
- Understand international procurement/tender processes and stakeholder requirements.
- Coordinate documentation, presentations, business reviews and communication with international partners.
6. Complaints, Deviations & Compliance
- Ensure timely handling of quality complaints.
- Coordinate investigation and closure of deviations identified during inspections or product-related activities.
- Work with relevant internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely corrective actions.
- Maintain appropriate documentation and follow-up.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate should have:
- 10+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical, healthcare or related industry.
- Experience at Senior Manager / Associate Director / General Manager level.
- Exposure to a combination of QA/Quality, Procurement, Commercial, Sales & Marketing, Institutional Business, Tender Management or External Partnerships.
- Strong supplier/vendor/contract management experience.
- Experience dealing with senior external stakeholders.
- Exposure to international organizations, global funding projects, institutional business or international tenders is highly desirable.
- Good understanding of pharmaceutical testing, analysis and quality processes.
- Strong negotiation, presentation and stakeholder-management skills.
- Excellent written and spoken English.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple internal and external stakeholders.

Pay: ₹1,800,000.00 - ₹2,200,000.00 per year
