Job Title: Senior Merchandiser – Woven Garments
Location: Ambattur, Chennai
Salary: ₹60,000 – ₹70,000 per month
Industry: Garment / Apparel Export (Woven Segment)
Experience Required: 10-15 years in merchandising (woven garments preferred)
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle end-to-end merchandising process from product development to shipment.
- Coordinate with buyers for approvals, clarifications, and updates.
- Understand and execute buyer requirements and tech packs efficiently.
- Monitor and manage sampling, costing, production tracking, and delivery timelines.
- Collaborate with internal teams: sampling, production, quality, and logistics.
- Work with vendors/suppliers for trims, fabrics, and accessories sourcing.
- Ensure timely communication and follow-up with buyers and production teams.
- Maintain accurate documentation and TNA (Time and Action) planning.
- Analyze order feasibility, costing, and margin management.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Fashion, Apparel, Textile, or relevant field.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in woven garment merchandising.
- Strong knowledge of woven fabrics and garment construction.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in email writing, Excel, and TNA management.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Experience in handling international buyers (Europe/USA preferred).
