Job Description: Production Manager – Wet Wipes ManufacturingPosition OverviewThe Production Manager oversees all daily manufacturing operations for our wet wipes production facility. This role ensures safe, efficient, and high-quality production that meets output targets and regulatory standards.Key ResponsibilitiesOperations & Output
- Manage schedule: Execute the daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules.
- Meet targets: Achieve plant efficiency, volume, and yield targets consistently.
- Minimize downtime: Optimize changeovers between different wet wipe product lines.
- Control inventory: Monitor raw materials like non-woven fabrics, lotions, and packaging.
Quality & Compliance
- Maintain standards: Ensure compliance with ISO, GMP, and FDA cosmetic/medical standards.
- Monitor hygiene: Enforce strict cleanroom protocols to prevent product contamination.
- Review batches: Audit batch records and formulation mixing logs regularly.
- Support audits: Lead the production team during internal and external quality audits.
Team Leadership
- Supervise staff: Lead, train, and evaluate shift supervisors and line operators.
- Manage labor: Coordinate shift schedules to optimize labor costs and coverage.
- Enforce safety: Maintain a zero-accident culture by enforcing PPE and OSHA rules.
Equipment & Maintenance
- Partner with engineering: Coordinate preventive maintenance for slitting, folding, and packaging machines.
- Troubleshoot issues: Resolve mechanical or automated liquid-dosing system failures quickly.
QualificationsEducation & Experience
- Degree required: Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Operations Management.
- Industry experience: Minimum 5 years of manufacturing experience in wet wipes, cosmetics, non-wovens, or liquid packaging.
- Leadership experience: At least 3 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
Technical Skills
- Machine knowledge: Deep understanding of automated converting, liquid filling, and flow-wrap packaging machinery.
- Software proficiency: Experience using ERP systems (SAP/Oracle) and MS Office.
- Methodologies: Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and 5S practices.
Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹65,000.00 per month
