Job Description – ICU Nurse
Position: ICU Nurse
Department: Intensive Care Unit (ICU)
Experience: 1–3 Years

Educational Qualification
* GNM / B.Sc. Nursing from a recognized institution.
* Valid registration with the respective State Nursing Council.
* ICU / Critical Care Nursing certification will be an advantage.
Job Responsibilities
* Provide specialized nursing care to critically ill patients in the ICU.
* Monitor vital signs, oxygen saturation, ECG, and other patient parameters.
* Administer medications, IV fluids, injections, and treatments as prescribed.
* Monitor and manage patients on ventilators and other life-support equipment.
* Assist doctors during emergency procedures, intubation, central line procedures, and other critical care interventions.
* Recognize changes in patients’ clinical condition and immediately inform the doctor/senior nurse.
* Maintain accurate nursing notes, ICU charts, medication records, and patient documentation.
* Monitor fluid balance, intake/output, and other critical parameters.
* Maintain and operate ICU equipment safely, including ventilators, monitors, infusion pumps, and defibrillators.
* Assist during CPR and emergency resuscitation as required.
* Follow strict infection prevention and control practices.
* Ensure proper medication administration and patient safety protocols.
* Coordinate with doctors, laboratory, radiology, pharmacy, and other departments.
* Provide appropriate communication and support to patients’ attendants as per hospital policy.
* Maintain cleanliness, safety, and readiness of the ICU.
* Ensure proper handover of patient condition and treatment during shift changes.
* Follow hospital policies, clinical protocols, and quality standards.
Required Skills
* Strong clinical assessment and patient-monitoring skills.
* Knowledge of ICU procedures and critical care protocols.
* Basic knowledge of ventilator management and emergency care.
* Ability to respond quickly during emergencies.
* Good communication and teamwork skills.
* Good documentation and medication-management skills.
* Ability to work under pressure in a critical-care environment.
* Willingness to work rotational shifts, including night shifts.
Preferred Candidate
A GNM/B.Sc. Nursing candidate with 1–3 years of ICU experience, having good clinical knowledge, emergency-handling skills, and the ability to provide safe and effective care to critically ill patients.
Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹24,000.00 per month
