JOB SUMMARY:
We are looking for an experienced Sample Engineer to handle the development of samples and prototypes for customized industrial and returnable packaging solutions. The candidate will work closely with customers, design, production and project teams to understand product requirements, develop suitable packaging samples and ensure the final solution meets technical and functional requirements. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Understand customer requirements, product dimensions and packaging requirements. Study engineering drawings, specifications and product details. Develop samples and prototypes for customized packaging solutions. Coordinate with design and production teams for sample development. Work on packaging components such as trays, partitions, inserts, separators and other customized packaging solutions. Coordinate with vendors and manufacturing teams for sample fabrication. Check sample dimensions, fitment, strength and functionality. Identify and resolve technical issues during sample development. Ensure samples are developed within agreed timelines and customer requirements. Coordinate customer feedback and incorporate required modifications. Maintain sample development records, drawings, specifications and related documentation. Support trials and validation of packaging solutions before final production. Coordinate with project, costing and operations teams during new product development. REQUIRED SKILLS: Strong understanding of engineering drawings and dimensions. Knowledge of materials used in industrial/automotive packaging. Experience in prototype/sample development. Good knowledge of fabrication and manufacturing processes. Ability to understand customer requirements and convert them into practical solutions. Knowledge of basic measurement tools and quality checks. Good coordination and communication skills. Problem-solving and analytical ability. Working knowledge of MS Excel and engineering documentation. PREFERRED INDUSTRIES: Automotive Packaging Industrial Packaging Returnable Packaging Sheet Metal / Fabrication Plastic Products Automotive Components Engineering Manufacturing EDUCATION: Diploma / Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field. CANDIDATE PROFILE: Candidates with 4+ years of experience in sample development, prototype development, packaging development, product development or engineering manufacturing will be preferred.
