Branch Manager – Educational Institute
Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced and result-oriented Branch Manager to oversee the complete operations of our educational institute. The Branch Manager will be responsible for driving admissions and revenue, managing the branch team, maintaining strong parent relationships, ensuring operational excellence, and achieving assigned business targets.
The ideal candidate should have strong leadership, communication, customer-handling, team-management, and sales/conversion skills, with the ability to take ownership of the branch’s overall performance.
Key Responsibilities
Branch Operations
* Take complete ownership of the day-to-day operations and overall performance of the branch.
* Ensure smooth functioning of academic, administrative, admission, and customer-service activities.
* Maintain a professional and student/parent-friendly environment within the institute.
* Ensure branch processes, policies, and standards are followed effectively.
Admissions & Business Development
* Take ownership of assigned admission and revenue targets and drive the team towards achieving them.
* Monitor the complete admission funnel, from lead generation and follow-up to counselling, conversion, and enrollment.
* Track leads, prospects, follow-ups, commitments, and conversions on a regular basis.
* Identify opportunities to improve conversion rates and overall branch performance.
* Develop and implement strategies to achieve and exceed monthly and quarterly targets.
Parent & Customer Management
* Handle parent and student interactions professionally and build strong relationships.
* Address parent concerns, queries, and escalations effectively and ensure timely resolution.
* Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction and retention.
* Personally intervene in critical or high-value parent interactions whenever required.
Team Management
* Lead and manage a team of approximately 7–8 members across sales, counselling, marketing, and/or support functions.
* Set clear expectations, allocate responsibilities, and monitor individual and team performance.
* Conduct regular reviews of leads, follow-ups, commitments, conversions, and targets.
* Coach and motivate team members to improve productivity and achieve their assigned goals.
* Ensure accountability for individual commitments and branch-level targets.
* Foster a collaborative, disciplined, and performance-oriented team culture.
Lead & Follow-up Management
* Ensure systematic tracking and timely follow-up of all prospective student leads.
* Review the quality and status of leads with the team on a daily/weekly basis.
* Monitor pending follow-ups, parent commitments, counselling outcomes, and admission closures.
* Ensure no potential admission opportunity is missed due to inadequate follow-up.
Coordination with Head Office
* Coordinate regularly with the Head Office on admissions, targets, campaigns, operations, staffing, and other business requirements.
* Submit timely reports and performance updates as required.
* Implement Head Office initiatives and ensure effective execution at the branch level.
* Communicate branch-level requirements, challenges, and opportunities to the relevant Head Office teams.

Desired Skills & Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree in any discipline; MBA/PGDM or relevant qualification is an advantage.
* 3–6 years of experience in branch management, sales, business development, education, training, or a customer-facing leadership role.
* Proven experience in achieving sales/admission/revenue targets.
* Strong team-management and leadership abilities.
* Excellent communication, negotiation, counselling, and interpersonal skills.
* Strong customer/parent-handling and escalation-management skills.
* Ability to analyse performance data and take corrective action.
* Strong ownership, accountability, and problem-solving mindset.
* Comfortable working in a target-driven environment.
