*Key Result Areas (KRAs)*
1. *R&D & New Product Quality Assurance (NPD)*
* Verify prototype dimensions against 2D/3D engineering drawings before mass production release.
* Conduct first-article inspection (FAI) and tolerance stack-up verification on cartridges, diverters, aerators, and concealed valves.
* Define gauge design requirements and fitment limits for customized threads and mating parts.
2. *Incoming Raw Material & Machining QA*
* Inspect incoming brass forged components, cast bodies, stainless steel spouts, and rubber components (O-rings, washers) against dimensional standards.
* Ensure 100% compliance on thread fitment (go/no-go gauges) and sealing surface finishes to prevent water leakage.
3. *In-Process & Final Inspection Controls*
* Set up Quality Control Plans (QCP) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for CNC, VMC, polishing, and assembly lines.
* Perform hydrostatic and pneumatic pressure testing setup validation to verify seal integrity under operational pressures.
4. *Metrology & Calibration Management*
* Maintain master calibration schedules for all measuring instruments, thread gauges, and pressure gauges.
* Perform Measurement System Analysis (MSA) and Gauge R&R studies to ensure measurement reliability.
5. *Defect Reduction & Root Cause Analysis*
* Conduct root-cause analysis (8D / 5-Why) for assembly leaks, cross-threading, or dimensional mismatches on production lines.
* Coordinate with supplier quality teams to resolve dimensional variations in outsourced turned or molded components.
*Technical Qualifications & Background*
* *Educational Qualification:* B.E. / B.Tech or Diploma in Mechanical / Production / Industrial Engineering.
* *Relevant Experience:* 3 to 7 years in precision mechanical manufacturing (preference given to sanitaryware, valves, hydraulic fittings, or faucet manufacturing or Automobile industry).
* *Core Technical Competencies:*
* *GD&T Expertise:* Proficient in ASME Y14.5 standards, tolerance stack-up analysis, concentricity, runout, and perpendicularity verification for brass castings and CNC-machined components.
* *Gaging & Thread Standards:* In-depth knowledge of BSP, BSPT, NPT, and ISO metric thread profiles. Hands-on experience with thread ring/plug gauges, pitch micrometers, and optical profile projectors.
* *Sealing & O-Rings:* Understanding of AS568 / ISO 3601 standards for O-ring groove dimensions, compression ratios, gland tolerances, and rubber hardness testing (Shore A).
* *Measurement Equipment:* Skilled in operating Profile Projectors, Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM), Roughness Testers, Air Gauges, and Digital Calipers/Micrometers.
* *Plating & Surface QA:* Familiarity with electroplating/PVD coating thickness measurement and Salt Spray Corrosion Testing (SST).
Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
