Role Overview We are seeking a passionate, knowledgeable, and student-focused TGT Mathematics Teacher to teach Mathematics at the secondary level. The teacher will be responsible for delivering engaging, concept-based, and competency-oriented lessons aligned with CBSE/NCERT guidelines, while developing students' logical reasoning, problem-solving, analytical, and computational thinking skills. Key Responsibilities Plan and deliver effective Mathematics lessons for Classes VI–X. Follow the CBSE curriculum, NCERT guidelines, and school academic framework. Develop students' conceptual understanding through activity-based and experiential learning. Use innovative teaching methodologies, real-life applications, and technology-enabled learning. Prepare detailed lesson plans, worksheets, assignments, question banks, and assessments. Design competency-based and application-oriented questions according to Bloom's Taxonomy. Integrate NEP 2020 competencies, critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, and problem-solving into classroom teaching. Use mathematical tools, manipulatives, digital resources, and appropriate educational technology. Conduct regular formative and summative assessments and maintain accurate student records. Analyse students' performance and provide timely feedback and remedial support. Provide enrichment activities and challenging tasks for advanced learners. Encourage students to participate in Mathematics Olympiads, quizzes, projects, exhibitions, and other competitions. Maintain a positive, inclusive, disciplined, and student-friendly classroom environment. Collaborate with colleagues to plan interdisciplinary and cross-curricular activities. Communicate effectively with parents regarding students' academic progress and areas for improvement. Participate in staff meetings, workshops, training programmes, PTMs, examinations, and other school activities. Maintain proper documentation of lesson plans, assessments, student progress, and academic records. Desired Skills Strong command of Mathematics concepts and pedagogy. Excellent classroom management and communication skills. Ability to explain complex mathematical concepts in a simple and engaging manner. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Knowledge of CBSE/NCERT curriculum and competency-based education. Ability to integrate ICT, AI awareness, and computational thinking into Mathematics education. Creative approach towards activity-based and experiential learning. Ability to prepare high-quality assessments and differentiated learning resources. Positive attitude, teamwork, professionalism, and commitment to student development. Educational Qualification B.Ed. from a recognised institution. Bachelor's/Master's Degree in Mathematics from a recognised university. CTET/TET qualification preferred as per school requirements. Relevant teaching experience in a CBSE/ICSE/International school will be an advantage.
