Role Description The Math Head of Department (HOD) will lead the Mathematics department, with a specific focus on Cambridge curriculum planning, implementation, and continuous improvement. Day-to-day responsibilities include designing schemes of work, overseeing lesson planning, mentoring and supporting Math teachers, and monitoring teaching quality and learner outcomes. The role involves coordinating assessments, analyzing performance data, and implementing strategies to improve student achievement across grades. The Math HOD will collaborate with school leadership on academic initiatives, conduct professional development sessions, and ensure curriculum alignment with Cambridge standards and school policies. This is a full-time, on-site role based at Pallavi International School, Bachupally in Hyderabad.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong subject expertise in Mathematics and a solid background in Mathematics Education.
- Candidates should possess skills in Curriculum Development and Lesson Planning, especially within the Cambridge framework.
- Candidates should possess effective Communication skills for collaboration with teachers, learners, and school leadership.
- Mandatory prior experience teaching and managing Cambridge Mathematics (e.g., Primary, Lower Secondary, or IGCSE) in a school setting.
- Relevant bachelor’s or master’s degree in Mathematics, Mathematics Education, or a closely related field.
- Proven experience in academic leadership, department management, or grade-level coordination.
- Ability to mentor and coach teaching staff, conduct observations, and provide constructive feedback.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and classroom management skills, with a learner-centered approach.
Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹70,000.00 per month
