Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Accounts Manager to manage the finance and accounting functions of our shipbuilding/ship repair operations. The candidate will be responsible for financial reporting, accounts payable and receivable, taxation, payroll coordination, budgeting, cost control, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day accounting and finance operations of the shipyard.
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash flow, bank reconciliation, and general ledger.
- Monitor project-wise expenses, material costs, labour costs, and subcontractor payments.
- Coordinate with Procurement, Stores, Production, HR, and Project teams for financial and cost-related matters.
- Prepare and monitor project budgets, cost estimates, variance analysis, and management reports.
- Ensure timely GST, TDS, PF, ESI, Income Tax, and other statutory compliance.
- Handle vendor bills, customer invoicing, payment follow-up, and reconciliation.
- Monitor project profitability, revenue recognition, outstanding receivables, and working capital.
- Coordinate with auditors, tax consultants, banks, customers, and statutory authorities.
- Establish and maintain strong internal financial controls and accounting procedures.
- Support management with financial analysis and decision-making.
- Ensure proper documentation and compliance with company accounting policies.
- Lead and supervise the accounts team.
Shipbuilding / Shipyard Experience
The candidate should have practical experience in accounting for shipbuilding, ship repair, marine, heavy engineering, EPC, or project-based industries. Knowledge of project costing, subcontractor billing, material accounting, work-in-progress, and contract/project accounting will be highly preferred.
Qualification & Experience
- Qualification: B.Com / M.Com / CA Inter / MBA Finance or equivalent.
- Experience: 8–12+ years of relevant experience in Accounts & Finance.
- Mandatory: Experience in shipbuilding / ship repair / marine / heavy engineering / project-based industry preferred.
- Strong knowledge of GST, TDS, statutory compliance, taxation, and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting/ERP software.
- Strong leadership, analytical, communication, and decision-making skills.
Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
