Job Summary
The Lifeguard is responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of all students, staff, and visitors using the school's swimming pool. The role involves constant supervision of aquatic activities, enforcing pool safety rules, responding promptly to emergencies, and maintaining a safe and hygienic pool environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise students and staff during swimming lessons, training sessions, and other aquatic activities.
- Continuously monitor the pool area to prevent accidents and ensure adherence to safety regulations.
- Respond quickly and effectively to emergencies, including administering first aid and CPR when required.
- Enforce pool rules and promote safe swimming practices at all times.
- Conduct safety checks of the pool, rescue equipment, and first aid supplies before and after each session.
- Report any safety hazards, equipment malfunctions, or incidents to the appropriate authority immediately.
- Assist swimming instructors during lessons by ensuring student safety.
- Maintain accurate records of incidents, accidents, and daily pool inspections.
- Ensure the pool deck, changing rooms, and surrounding areas remain clean, safe, and organized.
- Support school events involving the swimming pool and assist with crowd management when required.
Qualifications & Experience
- Certification as a Lifeguard from a recognized organization.
- Valid CPR, First Aid, and AED certification.
- Previous experience as a lifeguard, preferably in a school, sports facility, or aquatic centre.
- Strong swimming and water rescue skills.
- Knowledge of pool safety standards and emergency response procedures.

- Primarily based at the school swimming pool.
- Ability to work outdoors for extended periods when required.
- Flexibility to support swimming competitions, school events, and occasional weekend activities.
Preferred
- Experience working with children in a school environment.
- Knowledge of child safeguarding and school safety protocols.
- Familiarity with IB or international school environments is an added advantage.
Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
