We are looking for a caring and skilled Pet Groomer to provide grooming and hygiene services for pets, mainly dogs and cats. The Pet Groomer will be responsible for bathing, trimming, brushing, nail clipping, and ensuring pets are clean, healthy, and comfortable. The ideal candidate should have good animal-handling skills, patience, and a passion for pet care.
Key Responsibilities
- Bathe and dry pets using appropriate grooming products
- Brush, trim, and style pet coats according to breed standards or customer requests
- Clip nails, clean ears, and maintain overall pet hygiene
- Remove mats, tangles, fleas, and ticks when necessary
- Handle pets safely and calmly during grooming sessions
- Observe pets for skin conditions, infections, or health concerns and inform pet owners
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of grooming tools and work areas
- Schedule grooming appointments and maintain service records
- Provide excellent customer service and grooming advice to pet owners
- Ensure compliance with safety and hygiene standards
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Previous experience in pet grooming preferred
- Knowledge of different breeds, coat types, and grooming techniques
- Ability to handle pets with patience and care
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Physical ability to stand for long periods and lift pets when required
- Grooming certification is an advantage
