Job Summary
We are looking for a dynamic, result-oriented, and experienced Business Development Manager (BDM) to drive business growth and student admissions for our Aviation & Hospitality Institute.
The BDM will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, developing relationships with schools, colleges, corporates, educational consultants, and other relevant organizations, generating quality leads, and converting opportunities into admissions and revenue.
The ideal candidate should have strong communication, networking, negotiation, sales, and team-management skills, along with a proven track record of achieving business development or admission targets.
Key Responsibilities1. Business Development & Revenue Generation
- Develop and implement strategies to achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual business targets.
- Identify new markets, customer segments, and business opportunities for student admissions.
- Generate leads through institutional tie-ups, corporate partnerships, educational consultants, events, seminars, referrals, and field activities.
- Build and maintain a strong business development pipeline.
- Convert business opportunities into admissions and revenue.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and local demand for aviation and hospitality courses.
- Develop strategies to increase the institute's student enrolment and market presence.
2. School & College Tie-Ups
- Identify and approach schools, colleges, universities, coaching centers, and educational institutions for collaboration.
- Establish long-term relationships with principals, directors, placement officers, career counsellors, and management representatives.
- Organize career counselling sessions, aviation awareness programs, seminars, workshops, and campus visits.
- Develop institutional partnerships for student referrals and admission generation.
- Maintain regular follow-ups with partner institutions.
3. Corporate & Industry Relations
- Develop relationships with aviation companies, airports, airlines, hospitality organizations, travel companies, and other relevant industry stakeholders.
- Explore opportunities for corporate tie-ups, internships, training programs, workshops, placement support, and industry interactions.
- Represent the institute professionally in meetings, networking events, conferences, and industry forums.
- Develop mutually beneficial partnerships that enhance both admissions and the institute's industry presence.
4. Team Management
- Lead, guide, and motivate the Business Development and Counselling team.
- Set daily, weekly, and monthly targets for team members.
- Monitor individual and team performance.
- Conduct regular review meetings and provide performance feedback.
- Support counsellors and telecallers in lead conversion and admission closures.
- Train team members on sales techniques, communication, follow-up, and objection handling.
- Ensure proper allocation and follow-up of leads.
5. Sales & Admission Conversion
- Work closely with the Telecalling and Counselling team to maximize lead conversion.
- Participate in important counselling sessions and admission negotiations.
- Handle high-value or difficult student/parent cases.
- Develop strategies for improving enquiry-to-admission conversion.
- Ensure timely follow-up of hot, warm, and cold leads.
- Track admission funnel performance and identify areas for improvement.
6. Marketing & Promotional Activities
- Coordinate with the marketing team for lead-generation campaigns.
- Plan and execute local marketing activities and admission campaigns.
- Participate in education fairs, career fairs, exhibitions, seminars, and promotional events.
- Identify opportunities for outdoor marketing and community outreach.
- Provide market feedback to management to improve marketing strategies.
- Support digital marketing initiatives by providing insights about target audiences and market requirements.
7. Reporting & MIS
- Maintain accurate records of business development activities, meetings, leads, partnerships, and conversions.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly performance reports.
- Track lead sources, conversion ratios, revenue, and admission performance.
- Maintain CRM/lead-management data and ensure timely updates.
- Present business performance and future plans to management.

The BDM will be evaluated on:
- Monthly and quarterly admission/revenue targets.
- Number of qualified leads generated.
- Lead-to-admission conversion rate.
- Number of new school/college tie-ups.
- Number of active institutional partnerships.

Educational Qualification
- Graduate in any discipline.
- MBA/PGDM in Marketing, Sales, Business Development, Management, or related fields will be preferred.
Experience
- 3–7 years of experience in Business Development, Sales, Education Sales, Institutional Sales, B2B Sales, or a similar role.
- Experience in the aviation, hospitality, education, training, skill development, or vocational education sector will be an advantage.
- Candidates with a proven track record of achieving sales/admission targets will be preferred.
Compensation
Salary: ₹[Amount] – ₹[Amount] per month, depending on experience and suitability.
