Job Summary
The Administrative Officer will be responsible for ensuring disciplined, efficient, and compliant administrative operations across the campus. The role specifically requires a retired Army officer (Major or Captain rank) who brings strong leadership, organizational discipline, security awareness, and crisis-handling capabilities to the institution.
Key Responsibilities
1. Administrative & Campus Operations
- Oversee day-to-day administrative functioning of the institute
- Ensure smooth coordination between departments for administrative matters
- Implement institutional policies, SOPs, and administrative procedures
- Monitor attendance, duty rosters, and deployment of support staff
2. Discipline & Compliance
- Maintain discipline, decorum, and code of conduct across the campus
- Handle disciplinary issues involving staff, students, and support personnel
- Ensure compliance with statutory, regulatory, and institutional norms
- Conduct regular inspections of campus facilities and operations
3. Security & Safety Management
- Supervise security staff and ensure campus safety protocols are followed
- Prepare and implement emergency response plans (fire, evacuation, crisis)
- Liaise with local authorities (police, fire department, district administration)
- Conduct mock drills and security audits periodically
4. Manpower & Vendor Management
- Supervise housekeeping, security, transport, and maintenance staff
- Coordinate with external vendors and contractors
- Ensure timely execution of maintenance, repair, and facility-related work
- Monitor service-level agreements and vendor performance
5. Reporting & Documentation
- Maintain administrative records, reports, and registers
- Submit periodic reports to management on administration and security matters
- Assist management in audits, inspections, and accreditation-related activities
6. Leadership & Institutional Support
- Act as a liaison between management and operational staff
- Support institutional events, examinations, placements, and major functions
- Uphold the values, discipline, and reputation of the institution
Eligibility Criteria
Mandatory Requirements
- Retired Army Officer with rank of Major or Captain
- Minimum 10–15 years of service in the Indian Army
- Proven experience in administration, operations, or logistics during service
- Strong leadership, decision-making, and crisis-management skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in training establishments, cantonments, or administrative units
- Exposure to civilian institutions, educational campuses, or large organizations
- Basic computer proficiency (MS Office, email communication)
