Job Summary : We are looking for a Site Engineer to manage on-site construction activities, ensure accurate setting-out/positioning of works, and supervise execution as per drawings, specifications, and project timelines. The role involves coordinating with contractors, labor teams, and project managers to ensure smooth site operations and quality compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise day-to-day site construction activities and ensure work is executed as per approved drawings and specifications.
- Carry out setting-out and positioning of structures/elements.
- Ensure correct alignment, levels, and measurements before and during execution of work.
- Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, and project managers for technical clarifications.
- Monitor contractor and labor performance to ensure timely progress of work.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and site regulations.
- Maintain daily site reports, progress updates, and material usage records.
- Check quality of materials and workmanship at different stages of construction.
- Resolve on-site technical issues and report major deviations to senior engineers.
- Assist in material estimation, requisition, and inventory tracking.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Civil Engineering or related field.
- 1–5 years of experience in construction/site execution (freshers may be considered for junior roles).
- Knowledge of surveying, leveling, and positioning/setting-out works.
- Ability to read and interpret civil drawings and structural plans.
- Strong understanding of construction methods and site safety practices.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Hands-on experience with instruments like Auto Level, Total Station (preferred).
