Job Summary:
Jangid Solar Energy Pvt. Ltd. is looking for a motivated and target-oriented Business Development Executive / Sr. Business Development Executive – B2B Trading Sales to expand our customer base and drive sales of solar products, including solar modules, inverters, and solar energy products. The role involves identifying new business opportunities, developing relationships with dealers, EPC companies, while managing the complete sales cycle from lead generation to order closure and payment follow-up. The ideal candidate should have strong communication and negotiation skills, a customer-centric approach, and the ability to achieve sales targets in a competitive market. Experience in B2B sales within the solar industry will be an added advantage.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Business Development & Lead Generation
- Identify and acquire new B2B customers, including solar EPC companies, and dealers.
- Generate leads through cold calling, field visits, networking, digital platforms, industry events, and customer referrals.
- Develop new business opportunities within assigned territories and expand the company's customer base.
2. Customer Relationship Management
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with existing and prospective customers.
- Conduct regular customer meetings to understand business requirements and strengthen partnerships.
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through timely communication and proactive support.
3. Product Sales & Consultation
- Promote and sell the company's portfolio of solar products, including: Solar Modules and Solar Inverters.
- Understand customer requirements and recommend the most suitable products based on technical and commercial needs.
4. Quotation & Order Management
- Prepare accurate quotations, pricing proposals, and commercial offers.
- Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules within company guidelines.
- Convert enquiries into confirmed sales orders while maintaining target margins.
- Coordinate with the operations, procurement, and logistics teams to ensure timely order processing and dispatch.
5. Sales Target Achievement
- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets assigned by management.
- Maintain a healthy sales pipeline and regularly update progress.
- Develop and execute territory-wise sales plans to maximize revenue.
6. Market Intelligence
- Monitor competitor pricing, product offerings, promotional activities, and market trends.
- Identify emerging business opportunities and customer demands.
- Share market feedback with management to support business growth and product planning.
7. Payment Collection & Commercial Coordination
- Follow up with customers for advance payments, outstanding receivables, and payment commitments.
- Coordinate with the accounts team to ensure smooth billing and payment reconciliation.
- Help maintain healthy receivables and minimize overdue accounts.
8. CRM & Reporting
- Maintain accurate records of leads, customer interactions, quotations, orders, and sales activities in the CRM system.
- Submit daily, weekly, and monthly sales reports to management.
- Track key performance metrics and provide sales forecasts.
9. Cross-Functional Coordination
- Work closely with procurement, warehouse, logistics, finance, and customer support teams to ensure seamless order execution.
- Resolve customer issues related to product availability, delivery, warranty, or after-sales support in a timely manner.
10. Product Knowledge & Industry Awareness
- Stay updated on the latest solar technologies, products, pricing, government policies, and industry developments.
- Continuously improve technical and commercial knowledge to provide value-added solutions to customers.
- Represent the company professionally during customer meetings, exhibitions, and industry events.
Key Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in any field (preferred).
- Minimum 1 year of experience in B2B sales (solar industry preferred).
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Willingness to travel extensively for field work.
- Two-wheeler and valid driving license preferred.
