About the Role
We are a equity research firm, producing actionable research on Indian listed companies for institutional and retail clients. We're hiring a Junior Research Analyst to support our coverage of Indian equities — building financial models, tracking sectors and companies, and contributing to the research notes that drive our clients' investment decisions.
This role suits someone with a genuine passion for Indian capital markets, strong analytical instincts, and the discipline to dig into primary data. We're open on years of experience — fresh graduates with demonstrated market knowledge and seasoned analysts looking to deepen their craft are both welcome.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain financial models (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, DCF, relative valuation) for companies under coverage.
- Track quarterly results, management commentary, concalls, and regulatory filings; flag material developments to the team.
- Conduct sector and company research using primary and secondary sources — annual reports, BSE/NSE filings, industry data, channel checks, and management interactions.
- Assist in writing research notes, result updates, initiating coverage reports, and thematic pieces.
- Monitor macro indicators, sector trends, and news flow affecting Indian equity markets.
- Maintain databases of estimates, valuations, and peer comparisons.
- Support senior analysts in client interactions, queries, and presentations.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Strong understanding of Indian equity markets, listed companies, and how the BSE/NSE ecosystem works.
- Sound grasp of financial statements, accounting, valuation methods, and key ratios.
- Advanced Excel / financial modeling skills.
- Familiarity with data sources such as Bloomberg, Capitaline, Ace Equity, screener.in, or similar.
- Clear written and verbal communication — able to turn analysis into a crisp investment view.
- High attention to detail, intellectual curiosity, and the ability to work to tight reporting deadlines.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Commerce, Economics, or related field.
Preferred (Good to Have)
- CFA (any level), CA, MBA (Finance), or NISM Research Analyst certification.
- Prior internship or experience in equity research, broking, asset management, or investment banking.
- Knowledge of a specific sector (BFSI, IT, pharma, FMCG, auto, capital goods, etc.).
- Awareness of SEBI Research Analyst regulations and research compliance norms.
