Job Summary
We are looking for a dynamic Purchase Executive with 25 years of experience in the Food & Beverage (F&B) or Retail industry. The candidate will be responsible for end-to-end procurement activities, vendor management, sourcing, and cost optimization while ensuring timely availability of materials and compliance with quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Source and procure food, beverage, retail, packaging, consumables, and non-food items from approved vendors.
- Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with vendors to obtain the best quality, pricing, and commercial terms.
- Raise Purchase Orders (POs) after vendor finalization and obtain internal approvals.
- Ensure timely procurement and delivery of materials to support business operations.
- Manage Just-in-Time (JIT) procurement for perishable and fast-moving products.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and monitor vendor performance.
- Conduct market research to identify new suppliers, products, and cost-saving opportunities.
- Negotiate annual contracts and ensure timely renewal of vendor agreements.
- Coordinate with Operations, Stores, Finance, and other departments to understand procurement requirements.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate replenishment to avoid stock shortages or excess inventory.
- Analyze procurement data, pricing trends, and supplier performance to improve procurement efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and quality standards.
- Perform risk assessment for supply contracts and develop contingency plans for critical items.
- Control procurement spend and contribute to long-term cost savings initiatives.
Required Skills
- Experience in procurement within the F&B or Retail industry is mandatory.
- Strong vendor management and negotiation skills.
- Good knowledge of food ingredients, beverages, retail merchandise, packaging materials, and consumables.
- Understanding of inventory management and procurement planning.
- Excellent communication, coordination, and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and Microsoft Office.
- Working knowledge of ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, Zoho, or similar) is an added advantage.
Qualification
- Bachelor's Degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Supply Chain, Hotel Management, or a related discipline.
- 2–5 years of relevant experience in F&B or Retail Procurement/Purchase.
Preferred Candidate Profile
- Experience in restaurants, cafs, QSRs, food chains, supermarkets, retail chains, cloud kitchens, FMCG, or hospitality procurement.
- Ability to manage multiple vendors and procure both food and non-food categories.
- Strong commercial acumen with a focus on quality, cost optimization, and timely deliveries.
Pay: ₹500,000.00 - ₹600,000.00 per year
